What I've learnt from doing a Life Coaching Podcast...

Yes, everyone is doing one...I know. But the reason I agreed to co-host 'The GROWing Pair' Podcast with my my fellow Life Coach Isaac Goldfarb, was because I knew I would grow as a person doing it. That's the whole point of the podcast anyway - to help raise people's self awareness, help them to reflect on their own thoughts and actions in life, and help them develop and grow into the person they want to be.
I knew having to put myself out there each week to an invisible audience, sharing my own personal feelings and past experiences, as well as interacting with Isaac 'off the cuff' (we don't rehearse anything, one of use brings a new topic each week that the other doesn't know about), would force me to learn, adapt, and grow. There's something about being openly vulnerable that makes me feel more powerful - I see it as a strength.
Recording the podcast now is like having a conversation with a friend at lunch - fun, interesting, and good energy. At the beginning however, it was more like a presentation at work for me. I would care about what I was saying, if my next question was good, and if I sounded smart enough.
Also, after the show, I'd listen back to the recording and cringe....'I can't believe I said that!', or 'I should have said this!'. Now when listening back to it, I accept every episode was a product of the moment, and there's no shame being 'you' in the moment, so I let it go and appreciate what we accomplished.
Finally, I knew Isaac was the right person to do the podcast with - he cares for people, doesn't judge, and helps push me outside my comfort zone, knowing it's what I want and can do. So it was a straight forward decision when he asked me to co-host it with him.
We have now done 30 episodes! So check us out on Spotify and have a listen - let us know what you think. We also have some very interesting episodes with guest speakers on AI....
